Should I sleep with a light on?

No, you should not sleep with a light on!

Your circadian rhythm, or your body's internal clock, causes changes in your body based on factors such as temperature and light. Therefore, sleeping with a light on can confuse your body into thinking that it is not time to sleep, throwing off your circadian rhythm. This can have effects on the rest of your body, such as depression, obesity, daytime drowsiness, and more. Additionally, those who sleep with a light on may sleep less or have lower quality sleep.

For the best quality of sleep, it's suggested to sleep in complete darkness. (Even low light can affect your sleep.)
